SENIORS BASEBALL / BIG DIAMOND
Rosters: 15-18 players. No on-field assessment is required for roster placement. Depending on registration numbers, RUG may form its own team or combine with a neighboring league to form a team. If you would like your player to be placed on a team with a specific teammate or coach, please specify during the registration process. Rosters will be announced in mid-February.
Practices: Start early May, after the high school baseball season is over. Practice schedules are based on Head Coach preference and field availability.
Games: 15 game season. Games may occur on any day of the week, pending field availability, including some double-headers. Regular season games start in early May, after the high school baseball season is over. Following the regular season is a District-wide Tournament of Champions ending in mid-June. Expect schedule to be released in early May.
Uniforms and Gear: Jersey and cap are provided; jersey is returned at the end of the season. Players provide their own mitts, shoes, and gray baseball pants. Cleats are strongly recommended. RUG provides team bats, extra helmets, catcher's gear, and balls.
Locations: Games will take place at Big Diamond fields throughout north Seattle and suburbs, such as Ingraham High School, Magnuson Park, Shorewood High School, Lower Woodland Park, Rainier Playfield, and others.
Field size: 90' between bases. 60'6" pitching distance.
