Thank you for considering RUG Little League for the 2026 Spring Season. Please follow these steps to register:
Step 1: Determine Eligibility for RUG Little League
- Generally, RUG Little League serves the northeast Seattle communities of Roosevelt, University, Green Lake, Maple Leaf, Ravenna, Victory Heights, Pinehurst, Olympic View, Olympic Hills, Northgate, Cedar Park, and Lake City. Eligibility is determined by residency or enrolled school.
- Visit the League Finder to identify whether your residence or school is located within RUG's boundaries.
- If you are not eligible to play in RUG Little League but would like to inquire about a waiver, please contact [email protected].
- PLEASE NOTE: Players League Age 4-7 may register for any Little League of their choice, without respect to geographic eligibility.
Step 2: Determine your Player's Division
- A player's eligibility for a division is determined by League Age. Visit League Age Determination to verify your player's League Age.
- Please note that League Ages for Baseball and Softball are different!
- Some League Ages are eligible for multiple divisions. For example, Baseball League Age 8 is eligible for both A Baseball (Coach Pitch) and AA Baseball (Hybrid Player-Coach Pitch). Players should select the division that best suits their experience, skills, and level of development.
- Requests to play "up" or "down" a division must be submitted to [email protected].
Step 3: Register Online
- Click to register for the appropriate division at the bottom of this page.
- No one is turned away for financial reasons. If you would like to inquire about a scholarship, please contact [email protected].
- Please review and agree to the RUG Little League Code of Conduct.
- Register Early - once a division is full, additional spots are based on availability. Please join the Wait List if your division is full.
- Volunteer! RUG Little League is 100% volunteer run. Please consider signing up as Team Staff (Team Manager, Coach, Umpire) during the registration process.
Step 4: What Happens Next? Okay, so you've registered...now what?
- Confirmation Email Sent - Families receive a confirmation with key dates, next steps, and any required forms (like medical or eligibility verification).
- Player Assessments - In order to create competitively balanced teams, player assessments are held in late January/early February 2026 for Baseball and Softball players in the AAA and Majors Divisions. Families will be notified of assessment dates, times, and location via email.
- Volunteer Roles are Assigned - Coaches and team volunteers are confirmed and background checks are processed.
- Team Formation Process Begins - Teams at the Tee Ball, A, and, to some degree, AA divisions are formed by taking teammate requests, coach requests, and schools into account. The AAA and Majors divisions are primarily formed by Coach draft -- teammate and coach requests cannot be guaranteed at these divisions! Team assignments are generally finalized for the AA Division and up by late February. Team assignments for the A Division and Tee Ball are finalized in early March.
- Season Schedule is Released - Families receive practice and game schedules shortly after teams and fields are finalized.
- Team Communication Starts - Your team manager or coach will reach out with introductions, practice info, and uniform distribution details.
