2025 T-Mobile Little League Home Run Derby

Swing for the Fences!

The T-Mobile Home Run Derby is back for 2025. RUG's Home Run Derby will take place on Championship Saturday, June 7, 2025, on Will Stacey #2 - following the Majors Baseball championship game - at approx. 5:00 pm.

There will be separate competitions for Baseball and Softball. All Majors-eligible players (League Ages 11-12) are eligible to register and participate! That means any League Age 11 AAA players are eligible!

Field Dimensions

Baseball: 170'
Softball: 130'

Pitching

Baseball: Pitching screen to be positioned no closer than 30-40' from home plate
Softball: Pitching screen to be positioned no closer than 20-30' from home plate

Equipment

Softball will use a 12" ball
All bats must meet Little League specifications and standards consistent with the regular season (Rule 1.10)
Use of batting helmets is mandatory
All players shall wear their regular season jersey

Event Structure

First Round

All participants receive 1:30 to hit as many home runs as possible
At the end of the First Round, the 10 participants with the most home runs advance to the Second Round

Second Round

The 10 participants receive 1:30 to hit as many home runs as possible
At the end of the Second Round, the five (5) participants with the most home runs advance to the Final Round

Final Round

The five participants receive 1:30 to hit as many home runs as possible
At the end of the Final Round, the participant with the most home runs (combined totals from all rounds) is RUG Little League's T-Mobile Little League Home Run Derby Champion!
