2023 Spring League - Baseball (Co-ed)

RUG Little League is chartered through Little League International (LLI), and we share LLI's belief in the power of youth baseball and softball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities. We serve communities in northeast Seattle from the University District to Cedar Park, and our home fields are the Maple Leaf Reservoir Park Ballfields. We strive to bring our NE Seattle community together around youth baseball and softball.

The Little League season in Seattle typically starts the first week of March and runs through the second week of June. Registration takes place from December 1 through January 31 for the AA and above divisions, and through February 28 for Tee Ball and A (Coach Pitch) divisions, with a 10% early bird discount offered during the month of December.

Kid pitch divisions will typically start practicing in early to mid March while younger kids in the A (Coach Pitch) and tee ball divisions will start practicing in late March. League playoffs are played for kid pitch divisions in early June. The Washington District 8 All-Stars tournaments run from late June through mid July, and State Tournaments follow in mid through late July.

Players are eligible to play in RUG Little League if their residence or the physical location of the school where they attend classes is located within the league boundaries. To verify eligibility, visit the Little League Finder or view the RUG boundary map.

Players are assigned to the appropriate division based on their league age as determined by Little League International. To determine your player's league age, visit the League Age Calculator. When registering your player, you will only see options to register your player in the division for which they are eligible to play based on age. RUGLL will do its best to accommodate requests to play in divisions other than those assigned by league age. However, such requests will be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account such considerations as safety and balanced play. (Note: Players playing a level younger than associated with their league age will not be eligible to participate in All Stars.)

For families registering multiple children, RUGLL offers a $450 family out of pocket max. Scholarships are also available and no family will be turned away based on need.

If you have any questions about residency/school eligibility, league age/division eligibility, scholarships, or anything else, please email the League President ([email protected]) or Registrar ([email protected]).
