Program Registration - Baseball, Softball, Challenger

2022 Spring League - Baseball (Co-ed)

RUG Little League is chartered through Little League International (LLI), and we share LLI's belief in the power of youth baseball and softball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities. We serve communities in northeast Seattle from the University District to Cedar Park, and our home field are the Maple Leaf Reservoir Park Ballfields. We strive to bring our NE Seattle community together around youth baseball and softball.

The Little League season in Seattle typically starts the first week of March and runs through the second week of June. Registration takes place from December 1st through February 28th, with a 10% earlybird discount offered during the month of December. As an extra incentive, earlybird registrants in AAA and above (full kid pitch divisions) will be invited to exclusive RUGLL days at D-BAT's indoor batting facility for two winter training days in January and February. These training days will offered free-of-charge and the actual dates will be shared with families that register by December 31st.

Kid pitch divisions will typically start practicing in early March while younger kids in the coach pitch and tee ball divisions will start practicing in late March. League playoffs are played for kid pitch divisions in late May through the first week of June, and teams in AAA and above may have the opportunity to play in the Washington District 8 Tournament of Champions during the second week of June. The Washington District 8 All-Stars tournaments run from late June through mid July, and State Tournaments follow in mid through late July.

Scholarships are available. For families registering multiple children, RUGLL offers a $450 family out of pocket max. Exceptions are also offered to the age requirements. Additionally, early registrations for any softball program will be invited to attend an exclusive RUGLL webinar with Jen Mueller, a local TV & radio sports journalist who covers the Mariners and Seahawks.

The Little League Challenger Baseball program is available to players league age 4 through adult whose emotion and/or physical disabilities prevent them from playing in a mainstream baseball or softball program. The season in North Seattle typically starts the first week of April and runs through the middle of June. Registration takes place from December 1st through February 28th, with a 10% earlybird discount offered during the month of December.

In 2022, both Challenger divisions will start practicing the week of April 4th, and conclude with an End-of-Season Jamboree on Saturday, June 18th.
