REGISTRATION FOR THE 2021 SEASON IS OPEN!
We continue to live in uncertain times for youth sports, but there is light at the end of the tunnel with vaccines rolling out, case numbers dropping since the holidays, and, as of February 1st, our region moving into Phase 2 of the Healthy Washington - Roadmap to Recovery. While our entire little league community will not be vaccinated before play begins, we do have a path forward to play little league baseball and softball this Spring.
We will continue to monitor the latest updates to the Roadmap to Recovery in which baseball, softball, and tee ball are considered moderate-risk sports. Under Phase 2, we can play little league games, and under Phase 1 (if we happen to revert), we will still be able to practice as teams.
All league activities will also adhere to a district-wide Unified Safety Plan that has been approved by Seattle Parks and Recreation as of January 25th. This means that all of the Seattle-leagues in our District will be following the same safety protocols, making interleague play possible and consistent. The current mandate requires all participants to wear face coverings including players, coaches, umpires, and spectators. We will also be required to maintain social distance with exception to players involved in game play (i.e. tag at a base). All families will also be required to sign a Waiver of Liability prior to participation in league events.
Registration for the 2021 season is open. For families that pre-registered for the 2021 season with your 2020 registration fees, you're all set. For everyone else, please REGISTER HERE or following the links on this page. Challenger divisions are free for the 2021 season.
Stay safe and healthy.
Scholarships Available for 2021 Season
T-Mobile has launched an awesome opportunity to offer scholarships for your player(s) to play little league in 2021 season, called the T-Mobile Little League Call-Up Grant Program. You apply directly for this grant, and then our league is compensated by T-Mobile for the scholarshipped player's registration fees. It's a win-win for you and our league, so please consider applying. This fund is limited, and scholarships are awarded on a first-come first-serve basis, so apply now at this link!
Regardless of the T-Mobile Call-Up Grant, if any families are suffering hardship or otherwise need scholarships for the 2021 season, we will gladly offer you kid(s) the opportunity to play. Please email president@rugll.org to make your request.
