We are pleased to spotlight Dil Maharjan and Rain City Burgers. Since 2010, Rain City Burgers has been serving up some of the best burgers in town at the corner of NE 65th St and Roosevelt Way. It’s a perfect match, because Rain City Burgers loves Seattle sports as much as RUG Little League does, and has named several of its burgers after local teams: the Mariners Burger, the 12th Man Burger, the Storm Burger, the Sounders Burger. Hey, when is there going to be a RUG Burger?
RUG: Tell us about your business and what services or products you provide to the community.
RCB: Rain City Burgers is a locally owned neighborhood burger spot. We serve fresh, made-to-order burgers, fries, shakes, and comfort food using quality ingredients. We aim to be a welcoming place where families, friends, and teams can enjoy a good meal together.
RUG: Why did you choose to support RUG Little League?
RCB: Youth sports bring families together and help build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong memories. Supporting RUG Little League felt like a natural way for us to give back to the community that supports our small business.
RUG: What does youth sports mean to you or your company?
RCB: Youth sports teach kids important life skills—discipline, respect, teamwork, and perseverance. Those values matter not just on the field, but in everyday life and future careers.
RUG: How long have you been part of this community, and what do you enjoy most about it?
RCB: We’ve been part of the community for 16 years, and what we enjoy most is the strong neighborhood spirit. Seeing familiar faces, local families, and kids growing up around the area is incredibly rewarding.
RUG: If you could give one piece of advice to our players, what would it be?
Have fun, support your teammates, and always do your best—wins and losses come and go, but effort and attitude last forever.
